1st Nephi 2 : 6

And it came to pass that when he had traveled three days in the wilderness, he pitched his tent in a valley by the side of a river of water.

But after three days the novelty wore off. Sand saturated everything we owned. Lemuel wouldn't shut up about the sweat stains on his expensive head scarves and Sam kept falling asleep on his camel. (Eventually Dad made him ride the donkey so he didn't have as far to fall.) Worst of all, Laman developed a boil on his inner thigh and we all had to take turns draining it. Needless to say, we were ecstatic when we came to a freshwater river and Dad said we could take a break. He kept repeating what a safe little oasis valley it was and started talking about teaching the younger girls to swim. The rest of us however, were more or less wondering about the long term plan. What exactly were we doing here? How long we were planning to hang out in the middle of nowhere? Although we tried not to talk about it in front of Dad. He’d give us a look that said, “your faithlessness is going to cost us.”
