1st Nephi 1 : 16

Don’t worry, I won’t try to recount each of his dreams and visions. It would take the rest of the year to bang all that into metal. Besides, Dad has already recorded most of his experiences in his own book. (I guess you see where I get this record-keeping thing.) He called his memoirs the Book of Lehi. Original, I know. But you can never be too careful with all the plagiarism going on. In addition to writing about all the mind-blowing things he saw–like the lightning tree and floating fortress, which you’ll hear about later–Dad also foretold the future and composed some no-nonsense lectures for the benefit of his kids (or rather the spiritually challenged ones–I’m sure I don’t need to spell it out for you). But I gotta stop yammering about my family drama or I’ll never get my own book written.

And now I, Nephi, do not make a full account of the things which my father hath written, for he hath written many things which he saw in visions and in dreams; and he also hath written many things which he prophesied and spake unto his children, of which I shall not make a full account.
