1st Nephi 1 : 18

Besides, Dad’s story is pretty good too. I tell anyone who’ll listen how much courage it took to do his prophetic duty. After that staggering peek into the future he didn’t sit in his room feeling bad for Jerusalem; he went right into the center of town to warn them. He stood out there all day, for weeks, telling total strangers about the stuff he’d seen and predicting a bumpy road for Jerusalem unless they straightened up. (And by bumpy road he meant one that drops a thousand feet onto jagged rocks.)

Therefore, I would that ye should know, that after the Lord had shown so many marvelous things unto my father, Lehi, yea, concerning the destruction of Jerusalem, behold he went forth among the people, and began to prophesy and to declare unto them concerning the things which he had both seen and heard.
