1st Nephi 2 : 18

But, behold, Laman and Lemuel would not hearken unto my words; and being grieved because of the hardness of their hearts I cried unto the Lord for them.
I mean, look at the evidence. Dad says he has a very vivid dream in which we need to leave the city or we’ll be killed. He’s either lying, crazy, or telling the truth. But when an other family member gets a completely separate confirmation that Dad's right, shouldn’t L&L take it a little more seriously? The problem with those two was they didn’t care what the Lord's plan was or who was right, they just wanted their nice house back along with all their fine-twined linen. In fact, later when it becomes uber-obvious that the Lord is guiding us, the boys don’t get any easier to work with. And despite all the nasty things I’ve said about them, they are my brothers and I love ‘em. I had really hoped they might come around, even as far as praying until my legs went to sleep. But it seems no matter how much you plead for some people, the Lord’s not going to take away their agency. Laman and Lemuel were determined to hang themselves with theirs.
