1st Nephi 1 : 12

And it came to pass that as he read, he was filled with the Spirit of the Lord.

He didn’t know if he was supposed to read it out loud or in his head, but in the end it didn’t matter. When he saw the words on the glowing pages, it was as if all heaven was reading it with him, and the Holy Ghost swept through him like a brush fire. With each new word of the message, a mounting feeling of joy and complete submission to the Lord’s will swelled in him, compelling him to read on. In truth, I was kind of envious of Dad.
