At first it didn’t seem like Dad had a plan. We all got worried when we arrived at the Red Sea and stopped. But after a family prayer, Dad said we should follow the shore southward. It was nice traveling near water; at least when we got hot we could take a dip. Of course Laman had to push me off my camel into the drink a few times to assert his older-brotherliness. In the beginning it was actually quite exciting, just Dad, Mom (her name is Sariah- but if I call her that I get smacked), Laman, Lemuel, Sam, me and our little sisters out exploring the unknown on a family adventure.
